Rekindling the romance or amicable exes? Hilary Duff and ex-husband Mike Comrie were spotted kissing after an outing in Beverly Hills on Sunday, May 15.
The Younger star, 28, and the former NHL player, 35, looked superfriendly as they spent the day with their 4-year-old son, Luca. As she got into her car to leave, he leaned in for a goodbye smooch.
Two years after announcing their split, the former couple have kept their differences aside to spend a lot of time together to coparent their only child. In March, the former Disney star shared photos of the pair celebrating Luca’s 4th birthday and hanging out at Duff’s mom’s house. They even vacationed together in Maui, Hawaii, in February, just days after finalizing their divorce.
The “Sparks” singer separated from her hockey player hubby in January 2014 after almost four years of marriage, and they finalized their divorce in January of this year. Duff and Comrie share joint custody of their son, and due to a prenuptial agreement, neither gets spousal support. However, Duff paid her ex nearly $2.5 million to settle the divorce and to keep their Beverly Hills home. Originally, the actress hoped for a reconciliation after their separation, but she decided to move on for good after reports surfaced that he drunkenly hit on a waitress at a Beverly Hills steakhouse.
Earlier this year, Duff explained her relationship with her ex during an interview with Ellen DeGeneres. “We’re good friends and we laugh a lot. And we have a great communication and we share pictures when one is not with Luca. He’s great, we are great, and we keep on trucking,” she said. “We have such a great kid. And we’re both so obsessed with him.”
