Still kickin' it with Boots! Hoda Kotb recently celebrated her two-year anniversary with boyfriend Joel Schiffman, and couldn't be happier to share her excitement. "Two great years," the Today anchor, 50, tweeted June 4, along with the photo of her beau. Until recently, Kotb had kept her romance a secret, choosing only to refer to her man as "Boots" on NBC’s morning show. Why the nickname? The only photograph Kotb shared of her man wasn't of his face, but instead his boots after the couple went on a long hike.
Married once before, New York City financier, 56, truly is Kotb's perfect match. "I think we just genuinely like to be together," the anchor told Us in April. "I don’t know how else to put it. It's pretty simple, really."
Kotb, also previously married, made a conscious decision to shield her boyfriend from the public eye, but admitted to Billy Bush that she felt relieved after vacation photos — and her man's name — started circulating online, forcing her to go public about Schiffman.
"Here's the thing, you know when you are keeping something so close to the vest?" she said. "It's been almost two years, so we were like: 'Why not?' He's out from the shadows!" Kotb said on Access Hollywood in January.
Kotb is clearly proud of Schiffman, who she declares a total catch. "He's the greatest guy ever!" she said.
