Howard Stern on Donald Trump, Locker Room Talk: I’ve Never Heard a Guy Say ‘Grab Them by the P–sy’

Shock jock Howard Stern has heard a lot of lewd talk over the years, but one phrase he’s never heard in real life is Donald Trump’s now-infamous line, “You can grab ’em by the p–sy.”

During his Monday, October 17, return to his SiriusXM radio show, Stern, 62, was asked by his longtime sidekick, Robin Quivers, whether he considered the Republican presidential candidate’s comments to be “locker room talk.”

“A lot of the show that I’ve been doing for my entire life, radio show publicly, is an effort to sort of do ‘locker room talk,’ to express all kinds of s–t and just not even care what anyone thinks,” Stern responded, as reported by Billboard. “But this idea of ‘locker room talk’ … all the times I’ve been around guys — and believe me when I’m around guys 85 percent of the times you’re talking about p–sy — but I have never been in the room when someone has said, ‘Grab them by the p–sy.’”

“No one’s ever advocated going that step where you get a little bit, ‘Hey, I’m going to invade someone’s space,’” the radio host continued. “A lot of [locker room banter is] real kind of desperate talk. The reason it’s in a locker room is because no one’s proud of it.”

Trump, 70, was a frequent guest on Stern’s show, and a number of clips from the raunchy talk show have surfaced in the days following the release of the GOP presidential hopeful’s lewd comments aboard an Access Hollywood bus in 2005.

But despite the attention that the archived footage is receiving, Stern told listeners Monday that he is adamant about not replaying the old tapes because the interviews were not conducted as a way to “f–k someone over.”

“These conversations that I had with Donald Trump weren’t done in private like the Billy Bush tapes; this was on the radio,” Stern said. “Why don’t I play all the tapes? I have to tell you why: I feel Donald Trump did the show in an effort to be entertaining and have fun with us, and I feel like it would be a betrayal to any of our guests if I sat there and played them now where people are attacking him.”

Among the revelations that have resurfaced in recent days amid a growing number of women accusing the real estate mogul of sexual assault: Trump once laughed off Stern’s likening him to a sexual predator; joked about having sex with multiple women as his “personal Vietnam”; suggested that “deeply troubled women” like Lindsay Lohan are “always the best in bed”; agreed with Stern that his daughter Ivanka was “a piece of ass.”

Stern, who is a vocal supporter of Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, added that he once asked the former Apprentice host (and fellow New Yorker) why he was even running for office in the first place.

“I said, ‘Why are you doing this? Why would a guy with billions of dollars [run for president]? … Don’t you know what they’re gonna do to you? Don’t you know they’re gonna open up everything?’” Stern said he had asked Trump during a phone conversation last year, adding: “Quite frankly, as someone just said, I’m surprised they didn’t find these earlier. There’s nothing to find. As the guy said, they were right there in the open.”

Stern also noted that he has reached out to Trump recently to let him know that the continued surfacing of the tapes are not his doing.

“[I told him that] I want you to know I’m not sitting there releasing these tapes. I don’t do that,” Stern said. “I wouldn’t do that to any of my guests.”
