The new Baby and Johnny? Idina Menzel dropped by the Late Late Show with James Corden on Thursday, April 30 to promote her upcoming world tour. But, of course, Corden couldn’t let her leave without a little sing-along.
While wrapping up her interview, Corden surprised the audience when he pulled out a microphone. Following suit, Menzel met him in the middle of the dance floor for their very own rendition of Dirty Dancing’s theme song “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life.”
The fellow Tony winners nailed down Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze’s moves from the 1987 classic. Even more, they got a little handsy mid-song and were joined by backup dancers.
“(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life” was originally recorded by Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes. In February, Corden’s late-night rival Jimmy Fallon did his own performance of the song with Drew Barrymore on The Tonight Show.
