Influencer Anna Sitar has no complaints about Josh “Bru” Brubaker’s surprise proposal — and she’s already picturing their perfect wedding.
“He was really committed to this idea of it being a surprise, and he did a phenomenal job,” Sitar, 29, exclusively shared with Us Weekly at the 2026 Billboard Women in Music event on Wednesday, April 29. “I did not see it coming. It was the biggest surprise.”
Earlier this month, Sitar announced she got engaged to Brubaker, 29, after a proposal by the ocean blue water.
“I’m just so happy. I feel like it reignites this honeymoon phase,” Sitar shared from the Hollywood Palladium. “I feel like I wake up every morning. I’m like, ‘Hey, fiancé.’ It’s so fun to have this new era unlocked.”
With a new ring on her finger, the influencer known for her cheerful TikTok and YouTube videos has already started envisioning what her wedding day may look like. If she had her way, Sitar would allow all of her social media followers to have a front-row seat at the celebration.
“Honestly, I’m dangerous because I love including everyone. If I could, I would invite all the people who follow me to come to my wedding,” she joked to Us. “Like, how do I live stream my wedding? Is that weird? Like, actually. I’m like, ‘Wait, but I need all my friends there.’ So that’s everyone.”
As of now, Sitar and Brubaker — who is a TikTok star and radio personality — have yet to solidify a wedding date. While there is some possibility that the ceremony could happen toward the end of the year, the couple have also thought about taking their time and waiting until 2027.
One thing is certain: Everyone who gets an invite better be prepared to dance the night away.
“No one is allowed to leave the dance floor at night,” the bride-to-be proclaimed. “We have to be tearing it up together. I need good music. I need everyone’s shoes off on the dance floor.”
Before wedding planning, Sitar stepped out in Hollywood to support Billboard’s annual event, which celebrates some of the most influential artists and cultural leaders shaping today’s music landscape.
For the star-studded evening, which honored Tate McRae, Teyana Taylor, Zara Larsson and more stars, Sitar wore a yellow dress perfect for spring. She completed her look with glam from hairstylist Bradley Leake and makeup artist Hailey Hoff.
When her wedding day does come, the influencer said she already has a sense of what she hopes to look and feel like.
“I want to be, like, a whimsical bride. That’s my dream,” she teased. “I feel like a big ball gown. I want to be outside. I also go back and forth where I’m like, ‘I want five people at my wedding, and I want 500 at my wedding.’”
