Influencer Jen Hamilton has claimed that viral social media comments seemingly published under her name were faked.

“Someone is creating fake screenshots of me saying horrible things,” Hamilton, 35, wrote via Instagram on Tuesday, June 16. “I have never and would never say anything like this. Please report any posts you see about this.”

A social media user recently slammed Hamilton in a now-viral video, alleging that the influencer’s ongoing divorce is “karma” because of past comments about women being left by their husbands.

“I’ve been trying to take a break from social media because I’m going through a lot,” Hamilton said in an emotional Instagram video shared on Tuesday. “I kept getting texts today saying that someone had made a video saying that what I was going through is karma because of the horrible person that I am.”

Hamilton was allegedly asked by a fan in 2024 how she deals with “Trump-supporting women in the delivery room.” (Hamilton is a registered nurse who works in labor and delivery.)

“I fake a smile and pretend to care about them while praying their husbands leave them and DCS takes their baby,” Hamilton allegedly wrote, per a screenshot.

Hamilton, however, denied sending the message in the first place.

“This is fake. I have never and would never say this ever in my entire life,” she stated. “I’ve answered this question before on video and said and I quote, ‘You could show up to the hospital in a Trump 2028 flavored labor gown, and I would care for you with the same dignity, respect and love that I would give my own sister.’”

While Hamilton acknowledged that the video has since been taken down, she also issued a message to the original uploader.

“If I ever had the honor of caring for you, I would love on you even harder,” Hamilton stated. “To go out of your way to hurt someone means that you are hurting so badly. I am so sorry for whatever you are going through in your life that would cause you to do something like that. I would hold your hand and tell you that whatever you went through is not your fault. I hope that this gave you whatever you were looking for.”

Hamilton raised eyebrows earlier this month when she appeared to hint that she separated from husband Brian. She later confirmed their split in a tearful TikTok video.

“I’m feeling embarrassed and feeling exposed and feeling sad, feeling every single thing you probably possibly feel,” she said on Monday, June 15. “My publicists say that I should make a statement ‘when I’m ready.’ There is no being ready. … I wanted it to be something that we came up with together, and I called him and that’s what we did. I’m going to show you what we wrote together and then I’m gonna add some things [of] my own.”

Hamilton showed a screenshot of a typed-out statement from the now-estranged couple.

“Yes, we are separating. This comes with enormous pain for the both of us but also gratitude for the 15 years of shared history, love, and friendship,” the statement read. “What we are committed to is loving each other well through this transition and placing the wellbeing of the family we created at the center.”

Hamilton and Brian share sons Ellis and Luke.
