Liam Fitzgerald‘s family has spoken out for the first time since the social media influencer’s tragic death at 29.
“There are no words to describe the loss of someone as special as Liam,” the family wrote in a statement posted to Fitzgerald’s Instagram account on Sunday, November 1. “Liam was a shining light. He had a way of lighting up every room he walked into, a personality impossible to forget, and a heart that loved deeply. From family and friends to teammates, strangers, and people around the world, he inspired so many. He loved his people fiercely and would protect them with everything he had.”
Fitzgerald’s loved ones honored his “incredible” work ethic, noting that “when he put his mind to something, he gave it everything,” including his career as a Miami-based fitness content creator.
“He was talented at just about anything he tried and so proud of the life he was building and everything he accomplished,” they shared. “He loved filming, creating, and editing videos to share his experiences and inspire others. He wanted us to believe that no matter how hard life gets, you can always get back up and become a better version of yourself.”
The family also revealed that Fitzgerald “battled with alcohol on and off and knew it was hurting him,” though he had hoped his struggles would inspire others.
“If you’re fighting that battle, please stay strong, reach out to your loved ones, and ask for help,” the statement urged the OnlyFans star’s 1 million Instagram followers. “You don’t have to fight alone. Keep going.”
Acknowledging that Fitzgerald “wasn’t perfect,” his relatives noted that he had strived to make a difference prior to his untimely death.
“He had dreams, ambitions, and so much more life to live,” they wrote. “He had just turned 29. So many places to see, memories to make, and people to love.”
Fitzgerald died in the early hours of Friday, October 30, after being involved in a motorcycle accident. Emergency responders attempted life-saving aid, but he succumbed to his severe injuries. His girlfriend, Jamie Lyn Rin, announced the “incredibly difficult and heartbreaking” news in her own Instagram post the following day.
In their statement on Sunday, Fitzgerald’s family asked for “thoughts and prayers” as they grieve the sudden loss.
“Life is fragile. Hug your people tighter, tell them you love them, forgive when you can, and never assume you have more time,” they concluded. “Liam, you were one of a kind. You shined so bright, and the world is dimmer without you here. Fly high. You will never be forgotten.”
