View from the top! Ivanka Trump took a break from dad Donald Trump‘s campaign trail over the weekend to do some exploring in Dubrovnik, Croatia, with none other than Wendi Deng.
The businesswoman, 34, posted a photo with Deng, 47, to Instagram Sunday, August 14. In the shot, the ladies pose on what appears to be a rooftop overlooking the city. “Sight seeing with @wendimurdoch in Dubrovnik,” Ivanka captioned the pic.
Deng, who was married to media mogul Rupert Murdoch from 1999 to 2013, has been friends with Ivanka for years. According to an August 22 New Yorker profile, she was even responsible for getting the former model back together with her now-husband, real estate heir Jared Kushner, after their 2008 split.
A few days before their Croatian adventure, Ivanka posted a tribute to Deng in honor of her Vogue profile. “@WendiMurdoch is one of those friends that inspires you to work hard, be better and laugh louder,” the entrepreneur captioned a photo from the magazine spread.
Deng, of course, has friends in high places all over the world. As Us Weekly exclusively reported in March, rumor had it that she and Russian president Vladimir Putin were an item. One insider told Us the relationship was “serious.”
Incidentally, Putin, 63, has been mentioned in connection with Ivanka’s father in recent weeks. The Republican presidential candidate has spoken about the controversial Russian leader on multiple occasions in recent months, saying he thinks they’d “have a good relationship.” He also invited Russia — sarcastically, he claims — to hack Hillary Clinton‘s emails.
