Talk about a freaky night. Jamie Lee Curtis was involved in a scary incident Tuesday, Feb, 25, when the actress had to call 911 for help after her friend had a "violent reaction" when mixing alcohol and medication.

"Jamie and another woman came to the aid of a young friend who was having a violent reaction to a mixture of medication and alcohol," a rep for Curtis, 55, tells Us Weekly in a statement. "Jamie was going to drive her to the hospital herself but realized she needed immediate medical attention and therefore called 911."

According to TMZ, the star's friend was found in the backseat of Curtis' car at the time, and paramedics arrived at 9 p.m. to their Venice, Calif., location.

"I'm happy to report she was released hours later and is doing much better," the statement to Us continued.
