A teenager who claims to be a victim of the Jared Fogle sex scandal has told Dr. Phil she felt “brainwashed and manipulated” by Russell Taylor, the former executive director of The Jared Foundation, who “had me convinced that when I turned 16 I was going to have sex with him.”
The girl, now 16, who is identified only as Analissa in the show, tells Phil McGraw that she was victimized by Taylor, the head of Fogle’s children’s charity, at the age of 14, when he recorded her with a hidden camera.
Earlier this year, the Associated Press reported that Taylor had admitted to using multiple hidden cameras in his Indianapolis-area residences to produce child pornography involving 12 minors between March 2011 and April 2015. Prosecutors alleged he was producing child porn for Fogle to watch.
In an interview with Dr. Phil, due to air Thursday, Nov. 12, the teenager says she decided to come forward after watching a recent Dr. Phil Show, which revealed phone recordings between Fogle and former journalist Rochelle Herman-Walrond, that she made while gathering evidence for the FBI.
In August, Fogle was accused of “engaging in sex acts with minors and receiving child pornography from Russell C. Taylor, the Associated Press reported.
Documents released by the U.S. attorney’s office in Indianapolis, Ind., revealed that consequently, Fogle faced one count of travel to engage in illicit sexual conduct with a minor and one count of distribution and receipt of child pornography.
Fogle has agreed to plead guilty on the charges and is scheduled to be sentenced on Thursday, Nov. 19.
