Jared Fogle reportedly was beaten up by fellow inmate Steven Nigg in federal prison on January 29, according to TMZ.

The site reports that the former Subway spokesman, 38, was jumped by Nigg, 60, in the rec yard at Colorado’s Englewood Federal Correctional Institution. Nigg allegedly pushed Fogle down to the ground and repeatedly punched him in the face.

Fogle was allegedly left with a bloody nose, swollen face and scratches on his neck from Nigg’s reported beating. Nigg only suffered a small cut on his hand from the fight and was placed in solitary confinement, TMZ claims.

Fogle is currently serving a 15-year sentence in prison on child pornography and sex crime charges. In August 2015, the U.S. attorney's office released documents accusing Fogle of "engaging in sex acts with minors and receiving child pornography." He was convicted and sentenced in November.

"For most of my adult life, I've been in the spotlight, trying to be a role model," he said in a statement at the time. "I became dependent on alcohol, pornography and prostitutes . . . Not a day will go by when I don't think about what I did to [the victims]."

Amid the court case, Subway permanently cut ties with Fogle, and his wife, Katie, filed for divorce, citing an "irretrievable breakdown of the marriage." The couple married in 2010 and share two young children, Brady and Quinn.
