J. Law is off the market! After months of speculation, a source close to the Hunger Games franchise star confirms she is dating director Darren Aronofsky.
While dating rumors have surrounded the pair since they were spotted leaving L.A.’s Commissary restaurant in October, Lawrence and the 47-year-old took their relationship public this week in New York City with two PDA-filled occasions.
On Wednesday, November 2, the couple shared a lollipop while on a city stroll with Lawrence’s Chihuahua, Pippi. The very next day on November 3, the duo took things a step further and shared an intimate smooch outside of a flower shop. The Oscar winner, 26, and the Black Swan director reportedly met this summer on the set of Mother, directed by Aronofsky. “They get along really well, and it’s easy right now,” the pal of Lawrence tells Us Weekly.
An eyewitness tells Us that on Thursday, the pair arrived to dinner together in a yellow cab. “They looked very much like a couple,” the source says. “He was escorting her into the door.” Later in the evening, the pair strolled around the Flatiron neighborhood of Manhattan, with the director seemingly “pointing out buildings” to Lawrence. At the end of the night, Aronofsky hailed a cab for the actress and then grabbed one of his own afterward.
The source adds that Lawrence, who dated Coldplay singer Chris Martin in 2015 and X-Men costar Nicholas Hoult on and off for three years until 2014, has already met the Brooklyn native’s 10-year-old son, Henry, who he shares with ex and actress Rachel Weisz. Weisz has since married fellow actor Daniel Craig.
Following Lawrence’s split from Martin, Lawrence told Glamour in January that she doesn’t date a lot. “I’ll find a guy attractive maybe once a year. But I’m not a lonely person. Me not dating someone is not a lack of anything in any way. I feel completely fulfilled.”
