Jenny McCarthy is standing by her decision not to take out her breast implants amid health issues from mold poisoning.
“A lot of people — because I’m toxic-phobic — make fun of me like, ‘Oh, but you’ve got implants. You’ve got implants,’” McCarthy, 53, told plastic surgeon Dr. Terry Dubrow, on the Tuesday, November 3, episode of “The Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg Show” podcast.
McCarthy acknowledged the challenges she has faced due to various toxins, adding, “Yeah, touché. You are correct. That is one thing that I — maybe someday, when I’m an old lady — will want to be a free bird.”
She continued: “But in this time of having to be in these dresses and stuff like that [for work], I went down dramatically, much smaller than I used to be. But I am not ready for zucchini titties. I’m just not there yet.”
The TV personality has been candid throughout the year about how detoxing after mold poisoning has affected her well-being.
In March, McCarthy opened up about her “toxic” jaw infection and “oozing” eye growths. More recently, McCarthy explained on an October episode of her podcast that she went down “a rabbit hole of doctors, surgeries, teeth being pulled, mysterious growths popping up in places you are not expecting, implants literally falling out, and eventually realizing my immune system was fighting something so much bigger.”
Visits to a dentist led to oral surgery before McCarthy developed swollen bumps on her eyelid. She joked she had what felt like “25,500” surgeries to help address the mysterious issues plaguing her body.
McCarthy was ultimately tested for mold poisoning and then received a call from her doctor, who said, “Jenny, you’ve got serious mold. You’ve got the type of mold that causes seizures. If this thing crosses the blood-brain barrier, I’m going to be talking to you in hospital. You’re going to start seizing.”
Despite getting an answer about her health, McCarthy still isn’t healed.
“I’m still in my mold detox, you guys. I’m still in it, like, I’m knee-deep in it,” she explained last month. “I’m in month seven of detox and I’m too paranoid to honestly live anywhere else other than a tent.”
