It wasn’t Yeezy! Jesse Tyler Ferguson stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Wednesday, Sept. 16, to talk about celebrating husband Justin Mikita‘s milestone birthday.
“I really didn’t know what to get him for his 30th birthday [on Sept. 10]. He has enough, I mean, look at me, he has this,” the Modern Family star, 39, quipped while motioning to himself.
He went on to note that the one thing Mikita wanted for his birthday was a pair of Kanye West’s rare Yeezy sneakers. Luckily, Ferguson knows hairstylist Jen Atkin, who is a part of the glam squad for the rapper’s wife, Kim Kardashian.
“My friend Jen was literally on the phone with Kim Kardashian. And I was like, ‘I need a size 11 of the snow-white, gray sneaker,’” Ferguson recalled. “And she was like, ‘Okay, Kim’s going in the back room to see if she can find that.’ And I just pictured Kim in a Foot Locker outfit going in the backroom to find a size.”
Shockingly, West’s pregnant-again wife, 34, was unable to locate the pair Ferguson needed, and the rest of the Kardashian family came up empty, too.
