Joan Rivers’ Facebook Page Accidentally Promotes New iPhone 6

A mysterious post on Joan Rivers' Facebook page promoted the new iPhone 6 on Friday, Sept. 19.

Two weeks after Joan Rivers' death, her Facebook page was accidentally updated with a post promoting Apple's new iPhone 6.

TMZ reported that the late comedienne's page was updated early Friday morning, Sept. 19, with a picture of an iPhone 4 box. "This badass is being replaced by an iPhone 6 (not the fat one)," the update allegedly read.

The post was deleted shortly after the gaffe. One Facebook follower noticed the bizarre update and shared a screen grab of it with the caption: "#iPhone6 so big, Joan Rivers came back from the dead to endorse it."

Rivers died at age 81 on Sept. 4, and was laid to rest in a star-studded funeral three days later. Prior to the iPhone post (which coincided with Apple's official release date), Rivers' social media accounts and website were updated on Thursday, Sept. 18, to promote E!'s "Joan Day" commemoration for the late Fashion Police host.

Her daughter Melissa Rivers has also taken to her mother's official social media accounts to thank fans for their support. "My mother would have been overwhelmed by the scope and depth of the love that people have expressed for her," Melissa wrote Sept. 17. "It is certainly helping to lift our spirits during this time."
