Pointing the finger. Following Bravo’s Teresa Giudice special on Sunday, Oct. 11, Joe Giudice and his brother-in-law, Joe Gorga, made a joint appearance on Watch What Happens Live. Things seemed to be going well for the Real Housewives of New Jersey stars until Gorga, 36, was asked if he blamed Giudice, 43, for his sister’s imprisonment.
“Yes, who am I going to blame?” Gorga answered simply.
This didn’t sit well with the father of four, who has been taking care of his daughters since his wife went to jail last January.
“I don’t know why he would blame me, but everybody’s got their own opinion on things, ya know?” he said, later cutting off host Andy Cohen to add, “I would blame more him than anybody. Going on the show and talking all the crap he talked.”
Giudice, who will leave to serve his own sentence in February 2016, didn’t expand on his theory of why Gorga talking trash on The Real Housewives of New Jersey would lead to Teresa, 43, going away for fraud. But the pair tried to move forward throughout the episode.
“I don’t keep them at arm’s length,” Giudice said of the Gorgas. “It’s my responsibility to take care of my kids. I don’t rely on anybody to take care of my kids.”
He went on to note that his daughters — Gia, 14, Gabriella, 11, Milania, 9, and Audriana, 6 — love spending time with their cousins. According to Giudice, “They have a blast every time they’re together.”
Things haven’t been quite as fun for Giudice, who admitted he’s been struggling without his wife.
“Every day’s a tough day without her around,” he told Cohen. “I just gotta make sure the girls are doing good.”
“Nothing matters anymore. Life can just change in a minute,” Gorga added. “You don’t take life for granted anymore. Who knows what can happen — car accident, death.”
