Joey Fatone isn't saying "bye, bye, bye" to his wife of nearly 10 years, Kelly Baldwin, anytime soon. The former 'N Sync member addressed rumors of a split head-on during an interview with Omg! Insider on Wednesday, Aug. 28, and denied the reports.
"We're still married … kids are great," he said, telling the site that he, his wife and his two daughters — Kloey, 3, and Briahna, 12 — recently went on a family vacation together. "I'm deeply upset about that. We're fine."
The Dancing With the Stars alum also pointed to the timing of the reports, which conveniently coincided with his much-talked about reunion with his bandmates at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, Aug. 25.
"When you're on top, people try to knock you down," he said. "Things start to get above, 'Let's make something up, let's screw with the media, let's throw things out there,' you know? And that's how it kind of went down."
Earlier Wednesday morning, Radar Online reported that the 36-year-old entertainer has been separated from Baldwin since February, and that they'd just kept up appearances of the marriage for the sake of their daughters.
Last year, Fatone was the one dishing out marriage advice to Justin Timberlake in the run-up to his 'N Sync pal's big day with Jessica Biel.
"Don't listen to all the B.S. It's tough for those celebrity couples," Fatone told Parade of marriage advice he'd give Timberlake, 32. "It's really hard. My wife wasn't in the limelight, which made it easier. …the key is to keep it happy, light, and fun."
