Next question, please. JoJo Fletcher threw shade at ex Ben Higgins’ new reality show, Ben & Lauren: Happily Ever After, during an appearance at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut on Friday, October 14.
When asked whether she and fiancé Jordan Rodgers had seen the Freeform TV series, which premiered on Tuesday, October 11, the former Bachelorette star answered the question briefly before moving on, an Us Weekly reporter noted.
“We were on a flight from L.A. to Dallas that night,” she told the crowd. “Did anyone watch it? I don’t know anything about it.”
Fletcher, 25, famously vied for Higgins’ heart on his season of The Bachelor, and was one of two women that he declared his love for — the other being his now-fiancée and the winner of the show, Lauren Bushnell.
Relationship expert Rhonda Richards-Smith told Us that Bushnell, 26, who was seen being reluctant to have a double-date with Fletcher and Rodgers, 28, on the series, seems “quite eager to cut the cord from The Bachelor altogether.”
“Lauren should convey this to Ben as soon as possible,” Richards-Smith continued, so the pair can “continue to build their relationship in the limelight.”
Shortly after the episode aired, Fletcher’s good friend Becca Tilley took to Twitter to slam fans’ suggestions that any romance remained between Fletcher and Higgins.
“Pretty sure JoJo is over Ben. Pretty sure Ben is over JoJo. Pretty sure Lauren & JoJo are friends. And pretty sure producers pushed that,” she tweeted along with an eye-rolling emoji.
Fletcher weighed in, tweeting: “@beccatilley5 & I’m pretty sure you’re right Rebecca!”
