Kanye West Steps Out in NYC After Kim Kardashian Robbed in Paris

This is no laughing matter. Kanye West looked solemn as he stepped out in New York City Monday, October 3, just hours after wife Kim Kardashian was robbed at gunpoint at her hotel in Paris.

Surrounded by members of his team, the “Famous” rapper, 39, appeared to be distressed as he left his Airbnb apartment in Tribeca Monday morning in a turquoise bomber jacket, a navy crewneck sweatshirt, windpants and black sneakers.

As Us Weekly previously reported, West abruptly ended his set at the Meadows Music & Arts Festival midperformance Sunday night, telling the confused crowd that he had a “family emergency” (as seen in the video above).

An hour later, Kardashian’s rep confirmed to Us that the reality star, 35, was held up at gunpoint in her hotel room by a group of armed men dressed as police officers. “She is badly shaken, but physically unharmed,” the rep said.

A Paris judicial police official later exclusively confirmed to Us that Kardashian was tied up and locked in her bathroom at approximately 2:25 a.m. local time. The robbers stole an estimated 10 million euros’ worth of jewelry from the property before escaping.

Officials also told Us that the crime appeared to have been committed by a “highly organized” group who likely planned the raid in advance.

After the robbery, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star was comforted at the apartment by sisters Kendall Jenner and Kourtney Kardashian, as well as mom Kris Jenner; like Kim, all had been in the City of Light for Paris Fashion Week.

Kim flew out of Paris from Le Bourget airport on a private jet at approximately 9:30 a.m. She has yet to publicly address the incident.
