Actress Kate Bosworth made quite an impression on director Michael Polish when they worked together in 2011 on the movie Big Sur. Though they didn't begin dating until after production wrapped, Bosworth tells the September issue of InStyle UK that her relationship with the filmmaker moved at warp speed. "I never even dated my husband-to-be," the 30-year-old recalls. "He said to me after just a few weeks, before we were even together, 'I'm going to marry you.' He just knew."
Polish, 42, popped the question in September 2012, and a wedding is already in the works. "I can give you one detail: it's not the norm and whisky will be involved," Bosworth says of the ceremony, which will be outdoors.
In the revealing interview, Bosworth also opens up about what she learned about love from a previous romance. (Though she doesn't specify her ex by name, the Black Rock star has dated Alexander Skarsgard and Orlando Bloom.)
"When you're in it, it becomes habitual and it's difficult to get out of that," she says of being in an unhealthy relationship. "You get addicted to the habit. I'm so headstrong and loyal, and that combination will cause me to stay in a relationship far longer than I should."
Bosworth also speaks to InStyle UK about how she struggled during her twenties. "There's not been one female I've spoken to who has told me their twenties were easy. Everyone talks of how difficult your teens can be, but the rough and tumble of your twenties is a bit of a secret," the L!fe Happens star says. "In one sense it was a whole lot of fun, but I felt confused and like I was going through growing pains a lot."
