That's what friends are for! Katy Perry couldn't resist getting a playful jab in at BFF Rihanna during a recent interview with Elle Canada, calling the "Diamonds" singer out for her unapologetic marijuana use and selfie-prone tendencies.
While speaking about her own favorite ways to de-stress ("I learned this thing called Transcendental Meditation," she told the writer), Perry, 28, brought up her musical partner in crime.
"I think that Rihanna always looks so fresh and I'm like, 'How do you do that? We all know how much pot you smoke! And you don't sleep because you're on Instagram at four o'clock in the morning!'" she said with a laugh and a wink.
The fellow pop superstars, who reconnected during an intimate dinner in NYC's West Village on Monday, Aug. 12, have never been quiet about their friendship, often posing together at awards shows and out at late-night parties. The duo did have a brief falling out earlier this year, after 25-year-old Rihanna was reportedly back together with her on-again, off-again ex Chris Brown.
"They aren't tight anymore because Katy doesn't approve of Rihanna dating Chris Brown," an insider told Us Weekly at the time.
Rihanna has since split from Brown, 24, and Perry is currently reunited with her own on-again, off-again love John Mayer, 35.
The couple recently collaborated on track "Who You Love," to which Perry contributed a tiny "love giggle."
"It's like the ones that Mariah Carey had in 1990 and stuff like that," she told the host of Morning Mash Up last month. "Yeah, I think I was going for that, I think I was just so happy. I love that song!"
