Katy Perry Steps Out And Looks Fierce After Those Cryptic Taylor Swift Tweets

Keeping up with Katy! Katy Perry stepped out in Los Angeles on Thursday, July 14, for a photo shoot with Cover Girl, just one day after she fired off a series of cryptic tweets possibly aimed at nemesis Taylor Swift.

The “Roar” singer, 31, wore her long, dark hair in a high ponytail with straight-cut bangs for the shoot, with a similarly fierce outfit to match: a black body-hugging, sleeveless dress with white accents paired with thigh-high black boots.

On Wednesday, July 13, Perry seemed to be responding to Calvin Harris’ Twitter rant against his ex-girlfriend by sharing two not-so-subtle messages on social media.

The first was a GIF of Hillary Clinton making faces at a podium (Perry campaigned for the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee during the primary season), and then making exasperated faces while at a podium, and finally smiling and shrugging, tight-lipped.

The second was a retweet of her own message from May 9, 2015, which read: “Time, the ultimate truth teller.”

Swift and Perry famously had a falling out in 2014 that likely inspired Swift’s 2014 hit “Bad Blood,” though the superstar has claimed that the song isn’t about any one individual.

Early Wednesday, Harris, 32, confirmed that Swift, 26, had indeed written his summer hit, “This Is What You Came For,” under the Swedish pseudonym Nils Sjöberg.

The Scottish hitmaker’s praise for the “Wildest Dreams” singer (“amazing lyric writer and she smashed it as usual”) soon went sour when reports started to surface that Harris had hurt Swift’s feelings by denying a collaboration.

“I wrote the music, produced the song, arranged it and cut the vocals though,” he fired off in a separate tweet. “And initially she wanted it kept secret, hence the pseudonym. Hurtful to me at this point that her and her team would go so far out of their way to try and make ME look bad at this stage though.”

“I figure if you’re happy in your new relationship you should focus on that instead of trying to tear your ex bf down for something to do,” he continued. “I know you’re off tour and you need someone new to try and bury like Katy [Perry] ETC but I’m not that guy, sorry. I won’t allow it. Please focus on the positive aspects of YOUR life because you’ve earned a great one. God bless everyone have a beautiful day.”

Two weeks after the couple announced their split via social media, Swift was spotted making out with current boyfriend Tom Hiddleston by the beach in Rhode Island.
