The Woman in Red is back! Supermodel and actress Kelly LeBrock, who rose to fame in the 80s in iconic films like The Woman In Red and Weird Science, has stayed out of the spotlight for nearly two decades, but the former model is now ready to return to Hollywood — after she first opens up about her past and marriage to action movie star Steven Seagal in a forthcoming memoir, of course.

“When I split with Steven [Seagal], the divorce was very ugly, and details of the case were on the evening news,” the British star, now 53, told the U.K.’s Daily Mail in a recent interview. “I didn’t want my kids seeing it, so I simply got rid of the TV. I moved my kids out of L.A. so they could grow up with real people — the kids of gas pump attendants, plumbers and real family people.”

LeBrock and Seagal, 61, split in 1996 after nearly 10 years of marriage and three children together. At the time, Seagal (who first began seeing LeBrock while married to Days of Our Lives actress Adrienne La Russa) had an affair with the couple’s nanny, Arrissa Wolf. The pair ultimately called it quits and LeBrock retreated to a life away from the cameras.

“I admit, I became a hermit,” LeBrock said. “I had absolutely no self-esteem. I hated myself. I decided to swap my old life in Beverly Hills for a new one in the country, in Santa Barbara.”

The actress set up residence in a sprawling ranch house in Santa Barbara, Calif., she told the Daily Mail, and then stayed put. “I feared everything and didn’t want to leave the house,” she said.

“I grow all my veggies and make my own cheese and yogurt. It’s bloody exhausting!” she said. “To work the land full time keeps me so fit that I haven’t worked out in seven years. I clean the pool myself, muck out the pigs and the horses.”
