Kelly Ripa Responds ‘I’m Still Here’ After ‘Live’ Audience Boos Michael Strahan’s Exit: Watch

Just a friendly reminder! Kelly Ripa made yet another pointed statement on Live with Kelly and Michael on Tuesday, May 3, while she and Michael Strahan discussed his upcoming departure from the show.

Ripa, 45, shared with viewers what they have in store for Strahan's last day, May 13. "A week from this Friday is Michael's final show here at Live," the bubbly TV personality told the audience, who started booing in response to the news.

"We still love you, Kelly!" one person in the crowd told Ripa.

"Oh, thanks!" she replied with a laugh. "I'm still here!"

She then went on to tease the upcoming goodbye party. "We’ll remember, we’ll reminisce, we’re gonna look back at the fun times we had together," Ripa said to her cohost of four years. "Wait 'til you see all the stuff that we’ve done. You’re not gonna believe it … So, join us for Michael’s ‘Flashback Friday Farewell’ on Friday the 13th!"

Ripa started laughing and quipped: "You can't plan this! You literally cannot plan it."

This isn't Ripa's first headline-making quip since she returned to her chair last Tuesday after a dramatic week. The star also brought up contract negotiations on Thursday, April 28, while greeting an armadillo on the show. A day later, she memorably asked Strahan, 44, to open up about his divorces, which prompted a baffled reaction from the former athlete.

Despite the behind-the-scenes drama, Strahan had kind things to say about Live while attending the Met Gala on Monday night. "I'm on the other side of the dirt," he told Entertainment Tonight on May 2. "But I'm still looking forward to going to work for Live! … I love being there. I still love it."
