Too many selfies? Nah! Kendall Jenner has never been shy about her Instagram addiction, and now she has officially earned social media bragging rights. On Friday, June 26, the 19-year-old model surpassed her stepsister Kim Kardashian to have the most-liked Instagram photo on the social media photo sharing site.
According to Time, Jenner's selfie snap posted in mid-May, featuring the brunette beauty lying on the floor in a lace gown with her hair styled in heart shapes, is now Instagram's most liked image, with a whopping 2.6 million likes. Kardashian's photo, currently with 2.4 million likes from fans, is of the reality star, 34, kissing husband Kanye West at their May 24, 2014 wedding at the Forte di Belvedere in Florence, Italy.
"Take that, KimYe!" Jenner posted on Twitter when news of her new Insta record broke. Using Instagram to document their latest poolside adventure, trip down the runway, life milestone, or to deliver a message to family or fans, the Kardashian-Jenner family have no doubt catapulted the social sharing site to a new level in recent years.
Kardashian, for her part, takes special care to curate her account and the photos she posts. "I have really stayed true to myself on Instagram — maybe too many bikini selfies for some people, but it's what I want," she said during the Cannes Film Festival this month. "I don't have a strategy, and I don't have a team doing it for me, I am not knocking anyone else that does that, but I don't find it to be authentic, if you are talking about personal things and sharing personal photos, but you are having someone else do that for you."
Continuing their digital dominance, Kendall and younger sis, Kylie Jenner, are set to unveil their own mobile game later this year.
