Khloe Kardashian has long helped estranged husband Lamar Odom with his personal demons, but now that he’s in critical condition at Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas, she’s having to call all the shots — and it’s weighing her down, a source tells Us Weekly.
The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star, 31, is in charge of making medical decisions because she’s legally still married to the former NBA star, 35. As previously reported by Us, a rep for the Los Angeles Superior Court revealed that a judge has yet to sign off on the exes’ divorce docs.
“It’s very hard on her even though he’s her ex,” an insider tells Us of Kardashian, who married Odom after just one month of dating. “There’s still a lot of emotion there and she wouldn’t want to ever see him like this. And to have to make decisions on top of it now is also very hard. It’s a lot on her shoulders and a lot weighing on her.”
Odom, who was hospitalized on Tuesday, Oct. 13, after being found unconscious at legal brothel Love Ranch South in Pahrump, Nev., remains in critical condition, and Kardashian has yet to leave his side. The reality personality rushed to be with him Tuesday evening, with mom Kris Jenner and sister Kim.
“Everybody is just praying that somehow he comes out of it and recovers,” the insider adds.
