Khloe Kardashian is speaking the language of love! The reality star shared an Instagram picture from big sister Kim Kardashian‘s May 24 wedding to Kanye West on Sunday, May 25.
“E vissero felici e contenti…” Khloe, 29, wrote alongside a pic of herself from behind, gazing at the Florentine skyline from the Forte di Belvedere. The phrase, when translated, means: “And they lived happily ever after…”
Seen in the backdrop of the pic are the Piazza Duomo and Palazzo Vecchio, both remnants of the Italian Renaissance. (As West revealed in a May 16 interview with an Italian newspaper, Florence has significant meaning to the parents of North West: their daughter was conceived in the cultural epicenter.) For the ceremony, Khloe—who was a bridesmaid along with her sisters Kourtney, Kendall, and Kylie—wore a white crepe floor-length gown that elegantly hugged her curves. A Givenchy rep confirmed to Us Weekly that the bride, 33, walked down the aisle looking resplendent in a Givenchy haute couture gown.
As Us reported in the days leading up to Kimye’s wedding extravaganza, the nuptials—largely planned by the groom and celebrity event planner Sharon Sacks—were “Hollywood movie set level,” according to one source. Another insider said the Yeezus rapper “thought about every last detail” for his first wedding. “Kim will be the luckiest wife in the world. It truly is like a princess fairy tale day,” the source told Us.
The nuptials, it turns out, went according to plan. The groom, according to one observer, “was very happy” at the reception where John Legend performed his smash single “All of Me.” Added the eyewitness, “[The ceremony] was beautiful. Absolutely magnificent.”
