Feeling low. Khloé Kardashian shared a solemn-looking selfie on Tuesday, December 29, as news of brother Rob Kardashian's hospital admission for diabetes broke.
"Melancholy," the 31-year-old reality TV star captioned the shot, which showed her looking pensive and gloomy while wearing a black sweater, evidently feeling delicate after a difficult day.
As previously reported, according to TMZ, Rob, 28, was rushed to hospital after feeling ill on the weekend, having had no clue he was diabetic.
The reclusive Kardashian family member’s subsequent diabetes diagnosis comes after a long-fought battle against weight gain and depression.
Sister Khloé has been one of Rob's biggest champions as he has struggled to deal with the realities of life in the constant spotlight. She opened her home up to her brother amid criticism from some of her other sisters, and constantly attempted to buoy up his self confidence.
Earlier this month, the concerned older sibling shared a touching motivational message to Rob via Instagram, encouraging him not to be too hard on himself.
"If only you could see yourself through my eyes!" she captioned a photograph of the pair of them together in the past. "I'll forever be obsessed with you! My one and only! #MyAce" she added.
Back in November, mom Kris Jenner revealed her son was doing his best to fight his demons.
"He’s doing all right," she told Maria Menounos of Rob's ongoing struggles. "You know, he’s doing his best. He’s not into being on camera as much as the rest of us. But he’s working on himself. He’s going to be OK.”
