Khloe Kardashian's Body Evolution Through Pregnancy, Weight Loss and Relationship Drama

Talk about body goals! Since Keeping Up With the Kardashians premiered in 2007, Khloé Kardashian has managed to change her body time and time again, inspiring fans and helping to spread a healthy message. Thanks to a growing dedication to fitness and eating well, the younger sister of Kim and Kourtney managed to kick her habit of yo-yo dieting — and the cycle of weight loss and weight gain that went with it. And Khloé's dedication to an active lifestyle has helped her not just slim down, but become physically strong, mentally balanced and all-around healthier too — even as she feared infertility, struggled to conceive a baby and went through a difficult divorce from Lamar Odom. But by the time the Strong Looks Better Naked author welcomed her daughter, True, in April 2018 (with ex-boyfriend Tristan Thompson), her workout sessions and healthy diet had become such a part of her mindset and daily habits, that she was able to slim down at the rate she wanted — and keep off her post-baby weight. [jwplayer mrxPuRPu-zhNYySv2] “I’m still active, I still work out, but I’m not like ‘I have to lose 50 pounds in two months’ or whatever those expectations are,” the Revenge Body host told Us Weekly in September 2018. “It’s very normal to lose weight at a slow process. For me, that’s how I lost all my weight before and how it stayed off. I used to fluctuate weight because I would try all these diet fads and then I would gain the weight right back. I would always yo-yo. When I lost my weight and kept it off, it’s when I lost it slowly. I know that expression ‘the turtle wins the race’, ’cause now I know, OK, let me lose it in a healthy way so I keep it off, ’cause the last thing I want to do is yo-yo again in my life.” A source told Us in October 2020 that Khloé’s “transformation is due to hard work in the gym,” adding that she felt “like the best version of herself” after getting healthy. Despite her amazing results, the Good American cofounder admitted in March 2021 that negative comments about her looks hurt her feelings. “I don’t want anyone to kiss my ass. New to the Scene

When Khloé and her family let viewers into their household for a new E! reality show in 2007, the "tough skinned" Kardashian had no idea how mean some viewers and online critics would be—instantly billing her as "the fat sister." "It's like being brain-washed: You think, 'Do I have a distorted body image and think I'm not as big as I am?'" she has said.

Emotional Eating

Khloé showed off her curves in an emerald green dress in 2008, but admits that her weight was always a battle. "As a girl, you have baby fat," she explained. During her parents' divorce in 1991, she said, "My brother [Rob] and I were always heavy. They gave us food to keep us company. All we did was eat crap."

Body Struggles

Instant life in the spotlight was hard for the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star, who says that constantly being compared to her older (and petite) sisters, Kim and Kourtney, was difficult. "The fabulous Kardashian sisters were not an easy act to follow … I just didn't look like them," the star, here in March 2008, wrote in their book, Kardashian Konfidential.

Slimming Down

Debuting a slimmer figure in a tight purple frock in 2009, Khloé revealed she did it by using the weight loss program QuickTrim (all three Kardashian sisters were spokeswomen for the product). "QuickTrim is seriously amazing and I swear it works!!!" she wrote in a blogpost.

Evening Out

In 2010, the reality star revealed a healthier frame, sporting a striped maxi dress at an event. The always-honest Kardashian was upfront about her yo-yo dieting with fans. "If I can make other people feel good about their ups and downs in weight, then I want to be that person," she told Us Weekly.

Making Progress

Taking a break from QuickTrim, Khloé stepped out in 2011 with a more toned bod, largely due to upping her exercise regimen—doing 30 minutes of cardio daily, boxing, hiking, and even using a sauna suit to work out. "It's like a trash bag that makes you sweat," she told Us at the time. Her goal? To be bikini ready! "Most girls in their 20s get to be in bikinis around their friends," she explained. "I was never that girl."

Hubby Support

Following their wedding in 2009, NBA basketball player Lamar Odom was always a constant support through her weight struggles. "Lamar tells me he loves my body and I'm beautiful multiple times a day," Khloé, pictured with Odom IN L.A. in 2012, has shared. "I've never had that before: Someone saying, 'Without makeup, without clothes, you're stunning.' He loves my body and loves that womanly shape."

She Has the X Factor

Khloé noticeably shed pounds while she was hosting The X Factor in fall 2012 alongside Mario Lopez, thanks to boxing classes and changing her eating habits. "I could have done a lot of unhealthy things to lose weight, and I'm proud for all the criticism I've taken and haven't done that," she has said.

By mid-2012, Khloé was feeling sexy enough to flaunt her curves in a leg-bearing red dress—haters be damned. "I'm a size 6/8," she told Us Weekly in the past. "If I weren't in Hollywood world, no one would ever say I was fat."

Keeping Her Booty

Despite working out more, Khloé revealed that she wasn't looking to lose her infamous backside. "Girls tell me and my sisters all the time, ‘We love your booties,'" she told Cosmopolitan in March 2013. "Just yesterday a really thin stylist said to me, 'I wish I had your booty. I don’t have one.'" She was all smiles March 23 on the Kids' Choice Awards' carpet, wearing a curve-hugging white mini dress.

Showing off her fit frame March 28, 2013 in a pair of blue leather jeans and a black blazer, Khloé told Us about her intense exercise sessions that she completes with a personal trainer. "I love to box!" she said. "I'm good at it! Boxing keeps me entertained—and you just shed weight."

Stepping out on May 22, 2013 in a red-and-white stripped dress, the 5-foot-10 star was looking better than ever, showing off her 20-pound weight loss. When a few online commenters attacked her, suggesting she lost the weight via plastic surgery, Khloé fought back, tweeting, "People LOVE to hate. Amid widespread speculation that she was pregnant, Khloe walked through LAX airport in an oversized camouflage jacket on December 8, 2017. Just 12 days later, she announced she was expecting on Instagram with a photo of her bare stomach being held from behind by boyfriend Tristan Thompson. “My greatest dream realized! We are having a baby!” she wrote, adding, “Tristan, thank you for loving me the way that you do! Thank you for treating me like a Queen! Thank you for making me feel beautiful at all stages! Khloe showed off her bump at around eight months pregnant on March 7, 2018. About a month earlier, she revealed that she’d continued exercising throughout her pregnancy, with altered sessions. “Of course, I can’t go as hard as I did before, and I really do miss my intense workouts,” she wrote on her app. “Honestly, though, I’m just happy I still have the energy! But there is another thing I miss: my pre-workout energy drinks! They made me wired in the best way possible, LOL. Post-Baby Slimdown

White hot! At the November 11, 2018 People’s Choice Awards, Khloe showed off her body in a sleeveless gown with a high slit. In July, she revealed to fans that she’d lost 33 pounds in the three months after welcoming True on April 12, 2018. “After I had True, I didn’t put any pressure on myself to lose the baby weight. I just wanted to get back to my regular routine from before I got pregnant, which was working out five to six times a week,” she wrote on her app. As it had often been before, the gym was her happy place. “I never compare myself to other women as every woman has their own journey. We also all have different priorities in our day-to-day lives. One of mine is having that one hour where I can be selfish and alone in my place of refuge,” she added. “Exercise is something I’ve always used to maintain my sanity and relieve stress. And, now that I have a baby, I still want to keep something that’s my time, my space, something I’m doing for myself.”

On November 14, 2018, Khloe showed off her post-baby body once again in a cinched leather jacket, leggings and thigh-high boots. Trainer Gunnar Peterson, who had worked with the star for years told Us, “She definitely gets it. She gets the blueprint. She gets the template… Khloé’s work ethic, that’s what doesn’t change. On her January 14, 2019 appearance with her sisters Kim and Khloe on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, Khloe wowed in a white pantsuit with no shirt underneath! Her trainer Don-A-Matrix told Us that same month that he trained Khloe with her NBA star beau post-baby! “I had her working out with Tristan, ‘cause her main thing was more weight loss,” he told Us. “So I was doing a lot of conditioning for him, to get him ready for the season, so that type of workout worked for her also. So when I had him running sprints uphill, that worked for her also. When I had him doing performance-enhancing exercises, the performance-enhancing exercises worked for her also because her main thing was just trying to get back to the weight and the size before the baby.”

Slaying After Another Cheating Scandal

She’s not letting Tristan Thompson hold her back! After it was revealed on February 19, 2019 that her love publicly cheated on her again — hooking up with her sister Kylie Jenner’s best friend, Jordyn Woods — Khloé hit the town in a sexy outfit just one day later. Showing off her small waist and curves in fitted, high-waisted pants and a PrettyLittleThing crop top at the fashion line’s Melrose store opening, Khloe sent a strong message to the father of her daughter: I’m a confident and independent woman. Says an onlooker: “She looked amazing and kept a great smile. If you didn’t know anything going on, it would look as though nothing is affecting her. She had a special glow to her.”

‘Revenge’ Is All Hers

It’s no coincidence that the Revenge Body With Khloé Kardashian host is looking better than ever at 35! In a new promo shot for season 3, premiering July 7, 2019, Koko’s denim jumpsuit shows off the slim waist and curves she worked hard to reclaim after welcoming her daughter, True, in April 2018. “It's a challenge after a baby,” Khloé tells Us of staying fit. “Your body shifts and my hips are wider than before and that's a big adjustment for me … but I'm very proud of where I am now, and I like to enjoy where I am now and not always harp on what I can do next.” In fact, post-baby, she has a different workout mind-set: “You take it day by day,” she adds. “But yes, I always want to stay in a healthy place where I feel good about myself. If you stay ready, you never have to get ready.”

Her Best Beach Bod!

"This summer I have been focused on ME," the KUWTK star gushed after showing off her toned bikini body and twinning with daughter True on Instagram in August 2019. "Me from within. Mind. Body. Soul." An insider previously explained to Us that Khloé was focusing on "looking forward to the future, not the past" when it came to her relationship with Thompson and that she was "doing really well" despite the former couple's past drama.

Big Changes

Two years after giving birth to her daughter, the fitness fanatic opened up about how her weight loss journey has changed since becoming a mom. "If you’re trying to lose a significant amount of weight, diet and exercise go hand in hand," she explained during a May 2020 Poosh livestream. "Now I'm in my weight vicinity goal — I'm around 150 — it goes up a little. When it goes into the high 140s, I'm like, 'Woo!' It's a dream." While she admitted to being a fan of "anything True's eating," like snacks and quesadillas, the reality star tries to be mindful of her meals no matter what. "You never know if tomorrow’s happening, so I would rather put more effort into the gym than the kitchen," she said.

Bye, Haters

Trolls went wild over a May 2020 photo of Khloé's hairstyle, a light brown wavy trim that framed her face in a majorly different way. After causing a major stir on social media for her ever-changing look, an insider revealed that the Revenge Body host "doesn't care about the backlash she's been getting from fans saying she doesn't look like herself in her recent photos." Despite criticism, Khloé "thinks she looks great" and "does not care what people think as long as she's happy."

Back to Brown

In honor of her 36th birthday, the Strong Looks Better Naked author showed off her new dark brown hairstyle with a series of "glam" snapshots. "I'm loving my brown hair," she wrote via Instagram in June 2020. "I never thought I would say that lol blonde still owns my heart but this brown is giving me a little something right now." Soon after posting her sleek new look, Thompson showed her some love, reacting with a series of red hearts and flame emojis in the comments.

Slaying Halloween

Khloé shut down pregnancy rumors in November 2020 after wearing a Cleopatra costume for Halloween. When a Twitter user wrote that they were “still convinced” she was going to announce soon that she was expecting, the star fired back, “Well my abs say otherwise babe.”

Photoshop Controversy

The TV personality showed off her body in an April 2021 Instagram Live video after a viral photo of her in a bikini was wiped from the internet. “For over a decade now in photos, every single flaw and imperfection has been micro-analyzed and made fun of to the smallest detail and I am reminded of them everyday [sic] by the world,” she wrote. “And when I take that criticism to use as motivation to get myself in the best shape of my life and to even help others with the same struggles I am told I couldn’t have done it through hard work and I must have paid for it all.”

Getting Results

Khloé compared before-and-after photos of her back muscles in February 2022, noting via Instagram that she had been working on sculpting her back and arms for three months.
