Bruce Jenner is in a good, very momentous place — and he has his entire family to lean on. The Olympic athlete’s stepdaughter Kim Kardashian told Variety at their Power of Women Luncheon event on Friday, April 24, that her stepfather, who is transitioning from male to female, is “doing really good.”
“He’s got a new house and he loves it. I just helped him move in,” Kardashian told Variety of Jenner’s current state, hours before his revealing interview with Diane Sawyer is set to air on ABC. “I see him all the time. He lives not too far from us.”
Helping her stepfather move is just the beginning of the family’s support system. “We’re supportive of everyone, no matter what they are going through,” Kanye West’s wife said when asked about Jenner’s transition. “That’s what family is for.”
The dad of six, who will be reintroducing himself to the world during ABC’s exclusive sit-down interview Friday night, is planning on watching the special with Kim and the rest of their clan.
“We’re going to watch the special together as a family,” the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star told Us Weekly at the event. “That’s pretty much all I’ll say about that today. I’ll let the special come out and speak for itself.”
Jenner, for his part, reiterated he’s doing well during a promo for the 20/20 special. “I hope I’m gonna be okay,” he told Sawyer. “I feel like I’m going to be okay.”
Bruce’s interview with Diane Sawyer airs tonight, Friday, April 24, at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
