Never forget. Kim Kardashian reminded fans of her short-lived singing career on Wednesday, June 29. The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star, 35, captioned a sexy selfie on Instagram with lyrics from her 2011 song “Jam (Turn It Up).”
“🎼 I'm going out tonight, it's going down….🎼,” she wrote alongside a selfie of her barely contained chest while en route to her GQ bash.
In case you missed it, the social media maven released “Jam (Turn It Up)” for charity in 2011. The reality star teamed up with The-Dream for the track, which she later described as her biggest regret.
“It’s definitely a memory, and it was a fun experience. We gave the proceeds to a cancer organization,” Kardashian told Andy Cohen during an interview in 2014. “But if there’s one thing in life that I wish I didn’t do … I don’t like it when people kind of dabble into things they shouldn’t be. And that I don’t think I should have. Like, what gave me the right to think I could be a singer? Like, I don’t have a good voice.”
After the song made its debut during Tao Nightclub’s New Year’s party in Las Vegas, critics were quick to bash the E! personality.
The New York Daily News called Kardashian “the worst singer in the reality TV universe,” and Vulture described her vocals as “sounding as if they are emanating from a baby that is either very bored or very drugged.”
Kardashian has yet to dabble in music again — aside from lending her vocals to her mom Kris Jenner’s birthday celebration music video.
