Kim’s No. 1 fan! It’s been a tough couple of months for Kim Richards, who completed a rehab stint in July after being arrested at the Beverly Hills Hotel for public intoxication. Then, in August, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum, 50, was arrested for shoplifting from Target before being hospitalized by concerned family members.

But through it all, the former child star has had an ally and strong supporter in her ex-husband Monty Brinson

“One day the people that didn't believe in you will tell everyone how they met you. That quote is in honor of @kimrichards11,” Brinson captioned a throwback Instagram picture with his ex, which he posted on Aug. 17. “All I will say at this time besides being best friends, and personally a person who has a great heart is thankful to all her fans and friends for believing in her. Personally I have not seen her but we speak everyday. Do I know everything absolutely. Do I take up for my family and friends absolutely. Do I say it like it is. Absolutely.”

Is my heart filled with love for everyone absolutely. Without going into detail 90 per-cent of what you read is completely false. But for her fans that have stayed with her through this roller coaster will see her very soon at what she's done best all her life since the age of 4. I'm excited for her. And personally I would like to thank everyone who stood by her through this rough time. Remember everyone in life goes through a rough time one way or another. I always say know the facts before being judgmental #life #love #heart #thankful #blessed #rhobh #friends #family #heart

Brinson went on to claim that fans didn’t know the whole story behind Richards’ recent arrest and hospitalization, saying 90 percent of the information out there is false.

“But for her fans that have stayed with her through this roller coaster will see her very soon at what she's done best all her life since the age of 4,” he wrote. “I’m excited for her. Richards and Brinson were married for three years before divorcing in 1988, but the former couple, who shares daughter Brooke, have remained close.

Brinson currently lives with Richards as he battles what has been described as terminal cancer. The supermarket franchise heir-turned professional poker player has been in Richards’ care for several months, but Richards has seemingly cracked under the emotional strain, taking a pain pill from Brinson on an episode of RHOBH during the now-infamous poker night at Eileen Davidson’s house.

“I hate to sound like a broken record, but yes, I made a mistake when I took Monty's pain pill to relieve the chronic pain from my injuries, and yes, I am still sober and strong mentally and physically,” Richards wrote in a February blog post.
