All is well in Atlanta. Kim Zolciak revealed via Instagram on Tuesday, Oct. 27, that she was recovering after heart surgery.
“My surgery was a success!! I can’t wait to be back on my feet 100%! Glad it’s over!” the Don’t Be Tardy star, 37, captioned a selfie from her hospital bed. “Quite the whirlwind this last month has been…but such a blessing too.”
In hashtags, Zolciak added that “God is incredible” and that her family has been “so supportive.”
As previously reported, the Real Housewives of Atlanta alum scheduled the operation after suffering a mini stroke last month. Doctors discovered that she had a heart condition while treating her.
“It was a blessing in disguise,” Zolciak told Good Morning America on Oct. 9. “The minor TIA revealed that I have a PFO, which is like a hole in your heart. I was born with it and it never closed. That’s what caused it, basically.”
The mom of six has kept her spirits up, despite having to leave Season 21 of Dancing With the Stars because of her health. She was eliminated after not competing on Sept. 28.
“I practiced for hours Saturday I was so excited to be there tonight!” Zolciak captioned a video with her pro partner, Tony Dovolani at the time. “I just needed a few more days and then I’m cleared to fly! #ImReallySad #ImStrong.”
