Kit Harington Recalls How He ‘Fell in Love’ With ‘Game of Thrones’ Costar Rose Leslie

Swoon! Kit Harington recalled in a new interview with Vogue Italia the moment he fell in love with girlfriend and former Game of Thrones costar Rose Leslie.

The HBO hunk, who plays Jon Snow in the hit series, gushed about filming season 2 in Iceland with former Downton Abbey star Leslie, 29, who played Snow’s love interest, the wildling Ygritte.

"Because the country is beautiful, because the Northern Lights are magical, and because it was there that I fell in love,” said Harington, 29. "If you're already attracted to someone, and then they play your love interest in the show, it becomes very easy to fall in love."

The pair have been dating on and off since 2012; Leslie’s character died in season 4 when young Olly’s arrow pierced her heart. Us Weekly exclusively revealed that the duo were back on in March 2014 after taking a break for a year. The private couple made their official public debut in April at the 2016 Olivier Awards in London.

In March 2014, Leslie joked to Us about dating one of TV’s hottest men. “I don’t think he considers himself a heartthrob,” she said at the time. “He’s a lovely man!”
