Former Vanderpump Rules star Kristen Doute is breathing a sigh of relief now that her daughter, Kaia, is back at home and recovering after a recent health scare.
“Another day, another ER visit poor little thing has a UTI 😢 Glad we trusted our gut and went,” The Valley star, 43, wrote via her Instagram Stories on Tuesday, August 18. “SO happy she’s finally safe & asleep.”
Prior to her latest update, Kristen shared a photo of her baby girl — whom she welcomed with fiancé Luke Broderick in June 2025 — not feeling well and suffering from a fever.
“Little angel had a super high temp last night and we took her to the ER. this is the scariest part of being a mama 🙏🏼,” she shared with her social media followers on Monday, August 17.
Kristen praised her little girl for being a trooper just months after she and Luke, 35, celebrated their daughter’s first birthday with a Under the Sea-themed party.
Her costar Brittany Cartwright sweetly assisted her BFF put the nautical event together.
“Luke and I feel like we are finally out of survival mode and can truly enjoy Kaia now, celebrating all her little milestones,” Kristen told People about the shindig at the time, revealing how exciting it was to see her daughter grow. “She’s getting ready to walk, she has six teeth, she is so smart and inventive. I’m just in awe of how curious she is and how she tries to figure out every little thing.”
“Britt threw my baby shower for me, and so when I asked if she could also throw Kaia’s birthday, she said she would love nothing more,” noted Kristen. “It was her party planner, and from day one she was sitting with me going through my Pinterest and hand-selecting every detail.”
More recently, she set the record straight about her family plans with Luke after one Threads user claimed Kristen was trying to keep her brood in Los Angeles.
“Our plan has always been to move before our baby was of school age (this was before we got pregnant with kaia). we want to be closer to family,” Kristen replied on August 15. “Our families live in the midwest, where we are from — that’s why nashville is ideal and on the table.”
She further clarified, “Luke has a house and acres in Colorado that we love but we were never going to live there permanently. Any other questions?”
