Kristen Stewart Makes First Public Appearance in Months

Kristen Stewart made her first public appearance this week after months of laying low

Kristen Stewart does Dallas!

The actress has been rather reclusive since the end of "The Twilight Saga” — and her relationship with Robert Pattinson early this year — last appearing on a major red carpet in May for the Met Gala.

But, there has been one man who has been able to lure fame-shy Stewart, 23, back to the limelight this year: none other than Karl Lagerfeld!

The petite brunette is the face of Chanel's current Paris-Dallas collection, and she was on hand to celebrate the Metiers d'Art line's launch in Dallas, Texas. And while she didn't smile for many pictures while posing in her (questionable) high-waisted orange pants and nude knit crop top (the sleeves of which were pushed up to show off her recent forearm ink), the actress did flash a few of her signature defiant stares in front of the show's star-shaped logo.

This glamourous trip sets quite a different scene than Stewart's last few visits to the Lone Star State. In June, the screen star, up next in "Camp X-Ray," took a road trip with pals through longhorn country on her way to New Orleans and stopped (for wings we're guessing) at Hooters in Amarillo! And, pre-Pattinson breakup, the former couple attended the wedding of close Stewart pal, Scout Compton, in the West Texas hipster art town of Marfa.

However, the Dallas trip wasn't all work for Stewart, who got to hang with her former "Twilight" and "Runaways" co-star and real-life pal, Dakota Fanning. Lily Collins, Lauren Hutton, and British socialite Poppy Delevingne (big sis of model Cara) were also on hand to watch Lagerfeld's new film and fashion show — which was presented in a rodeo ring, of course!

In addition to the fashion show, Lagerfeld also erected an old-fashioned drive-in cinema to premiere his new film, "The Return," following Coco Chanel's 1954 comeback collection, which was purchased by Dallas-based Neiman Marcus and effectively saved the couture house from closing its doors for good.

We probably should have seen K.Stew and K.Lag's collaboration coming — Stewart also attended Chanel's Haute-Courture Fall/Winter 2013-2014 presentation at Paris Fashion Week in July, after all.

What do you think of the new partnership?
