Summer House star Kyle Cooke is breaking down the reason why he and estranged wife Amanda Batula haven’t legally separated.
“It’s been a little slow going. She was busy, I was busy,” Cooke, 44, told E! News during Page Six‘s Virtual Reali-Tea Awards 2026 on Tuesday, October 6. “We’re still working on the details of that.”
“It’s never fun to have those formal talks, and maybe there’s a side of us that put it off a little bit,” he continued. “But, yeah, we will eventually make it formal and sign on the dotted line.”
Cooke and Batula, 35, were married for four years before announcing their separation in January. Two months later, Batula confirmed she was seeing their costar West Wilson — who previously dated her ex-BFF Ciara Miller.
In a bonus episode of Summer House, Wilson, 31, admitted that he and Batula had grown closer over summer 2025 but insisted the pair did not kiss for the first time until February.
“I haven’t got to the point where I have told her or myself that I’m in love or not. But I do love her and have,” Wilson told Cooke during the June special, titled Summer House: The Aftermath. “I have cared about her for a very, very long time.”
Amid the fallout of their romance, Us confirmed in June that Wilson and Batula would not be returning to film season 11 of Summer House. In August, a source exclusively told Us that Batula and Wilson are “still going strong.”
“They know many people doubted them, but they are doing really well and are still super happy,” the insider said. “Both of them agree the dust has settled and feel they can be a normal couple now.”
Cooke, for his part, has been romantically linked to fellow Bravolebrities Meghan King and Salley Carson. In September, Cooke reflected on wrapping season 11 of Summer House and making “the most” out of his summer.
“That’s a wrap, guys. We just wrapped season 11, another one in the books,” Kyle said in an Instagram Story video at the time. “Can’t tell you how lucky and fortunate I feel to have been able to come back and film and make the most of the summer.”
