A match made in reality-TV heaven. Dancing With the Stars pro Kym Johnson and her former partner on the show Robert Herjavec married in a romantic wedding ceremony on Sunday, July 31.
The couple, who started dating in 2015, shortly before they appeared on season 20 of the ABC hit, were surrounded by friends and family as they exchanged vows in L.A.
It was an action-packed weekend for the bride, who kicked off the celebration with a shower in L.A. followed by a coed bachelorette party in Las Vegas on Friday, July 29. Johnson, 39, and pals including DWTS alum Carson Kressley flew to Sin City in a private jet and took in Jennifer Lopez’s show at Planet Hollywood resort and casino. The couple then celebrated with their nearest and dearest at a rehearsal dinner on Saturday night.
Johnson, 39, and the Shark Tank judge, 53, who announced their engagement in February, took to the dance floor together at their wedding reception to perform two numbers.
The first was the couple’s romantic first dance to Etta James’ “At Last” followed by a group number with dancers including Johnson’s bridesmaid and fellow Dancing With the Stars pro Cheryl Burke.
The group danced to LunchMoney Lewis’ “Bills,” which was the first song they danced to as partners on Dancing With the Stars.
“We’re doing a romantic dance first,” Herjavec told Entertainment Tonight in an interview that aired on Friday, July 29. “And then the bridal party are going to come onto the dance floor and we’re going to be doing a fun dance,” Johnson added. “Bills” was “the first dance we ever did together so it means something to us,” she added.
“Robert really adores her, and they are the sweetest couple,” a source previously told Us. “All of their friends are so happy for them!”
