Boris Treyzon, the lawyer for Tyga’s former landlord, who is suing the 26-year-old for around $480,000 in unpaid rent on his former Malibu pad, said that his client will collect the money from gifts the hip-hop star has purchased.
“There’s a lot of activity with this going on, but he owes my client a lot of money and we are proceeding to collect that money from any expensive gifts to anyone that he gave or money he gave out,” Treyzon tells Us. “So basically, we want that money back! That would include Kylie’s new car he bought for her.”
As previously reported, a judge ordered a warrant for Tyga’s arrest on Tuesday, August 9, after the rapper failed to show up to a scheduled court appearance for a deposition, a Los Angeles public information officer confirmed to Us Weekly.
According to TMZ, the landlord’s legal team argued that the reality star’s purchase of the uber-luxury vehicle is “a fraudulent transfer of assets that should go to satisfy the judgment.” Per TMZ, the judge then issued a bench warrant, which means the dad of 3-year-old King Cairo could end up in jail.
“The arrest warrant for Tyga has been processed so it’s in full effect,” Treyzon tells Us. “He can resolve the case or he can enter a bail plea. But as of now, if he came in contact with law enforcement he would be arrested and held until such time his attendance at a court proceeding would be ensured.”
The “Ice Cream Man” rapper is rumored to be in the Turks and Caicos with his makeup-mogul girlfriend, celebrating her birthday. Jenner has shared several snaps of the tropical getaway with her sister Kendall Jenner and pals Bella Hadid, Hailey Baldwin and Jordyn Woods, but the Kingin’ With Tyga star has yet to appear in any pics.
