So happy he cried! LeBron James wept tears of joy on Sunday, June 19, when his team, the Cleveland Cavaliers, broke their 52-year losing streak by winning the 2016 NBA Championships at Oakland’s Oracle Arena.
The 31-year-old basketball star was overwhelmed with emotion as he celebrated his team’s win against the Golden State Warriors in a totally epic NBA final.
As the buzzer sounded on Game 7, James fell to his knees, the final 93 to 89 slowly sinking in before he stood up to party with his pals, tears flowing down his face.
“I gave everything I had. I poured my heart, my sweat, my tears into this game,” James said afterward. “Cleveland, this is for you!”

And it wasn’t just James who was celebrating last night as Cleveland’s success drought (their last pro sports title win was in 1964) came to a dramatic end.
“Wow. One of the best finals ever,” Beyoncé‘s husband and rare-tweeter Jay Z wrote. “So proud of King James. Salute Warriors Happy Father’s Day to all.”

“Lebron did it,” added an excited Justin Timberlake. “Everybody be quiet. Goodnight.”
Mindy Kaling was feeling emotional when she tweeted: “‘I don’t know why the man above makes me take the hardest road.’ @kingjames, making me cry. Congrats #Cleveland.”
