Maybe if the whole basketball thing doesn’t work out, he can switch to singing? LeBron James dressed up as Prince for Halloween and performed the music icon’s classic song “Purple Rain” at the Cleveland Cavaliers’ Halloween party on Saturday, Oct. 31.
The NBA star, 30, donned a Prince outfit — complete with guitar, wig, black leather pants, and a blue jacket — and surprised his teammates by taking the stage and rocking out.
Mo Williams, James’ teammate, shared an Instagram video of the performance. “Prince live in concert,” he captioned the video of the athlete.
In addition to performing “Purple Rain,” James also performed Prince’s hits “When Doves Cry” and “I Would Die 4 U.”
He later shared an Instagram snap of the night with his teammates and a female friend, writing, “About last night! A Prince sandwich on Farrah Fawcett. Haha!”
