Liam Hemsworth is living it up in one of the most glamorous, romantic spots on the planet . . . without fiancee Miley Cyrus. The Australian actor, 23, hit the Cannes Film Festival to attend a Friday, May 17 promotional event for Hunger Games sequel Catching Fire; reuniting with costar Jennifer Lawrence, the pair posed for photos with their new costar Sam Clafin, cast last year in the coveted role of Finnick.
As Cyrus, 20, stays behind recording her album in Los Angeles, Hemsworth took advantage of the film festival nightlife. The blue-eyed hunk first arrived at the Belvedere party's VIP Room around 1:20 a.m. on Saturday with a small group of male executives. Sipping beer (after declining an offer of champagne) and smoking a few Marlboro Lights, Hemsworth bopped along to the hip-hop tunes — and politely spoke to two pretty blonde, female fans who approached the table.
Next up, Hemsworth moved on to the Nikki Beach at Les Marches with a bodyguard for more low-key drinks and friendly chats with pretty fans. (He left past 3 a.m. alone.)
Although it's tricky to keep up with Hemsworth and Cyrus' relationship status, the Hannah Montana star recently began wearing her engagement ring again — flashing the rock in a recent Twitter pic and donning it to the Maxim 100 party in NYC earlier this week.
