Liza Minnelli is seeking treatment for substance abuse once more, TMZ reports. According to the site, Minnelli, who has sought treatment in rehab multiple times, checked herself into a Malibu facility several days ago and is being treated mainly for alcohol abuse.
Minnelli’s rep tells TMZ that she’s making “excellent progress.”
The Cabaret star last sought treatment in 2004 and in 2010, turned down $500,000 to appear on VH1’s Celebrity Rehab. At the time, her rep told Us: "Liza Minnelli…is not now, nor will ever be, on Celebrity Rehab."
Minnelli’s mother, Judy Garland, died at the age of 47 in 1969 after overdosing.
