Justin Herbert has scored in the romance department after getting engaged to Madison Beer.
“Meet my fiancé,” Beer, 27, wrote via Instagram on Tuesday, July 28, with photos from the private proposal.
While details of the romantic gesture remain top-secret for now, images show Herbert getting down on one knee with a dazzling sparkler before Beer said, “Yes!”
Additional photos show the newly engaged couple kissing, dancing and smiling at each other after he popped the question. The Instagram carousel also included a shot of a wooden sign that read, “Mr. and Mrs. Herbert.”
In August 2025, Herbert, 28, and Beer first sparked romance rumors after the NFL star was spotted on the set of the singer’s music video.
Just months later, Beer was spotted cheering on her boyfriend at football games held at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. The duo also enjoyed date night at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles for the MLB World Series.
In a rare social media post, Beer gushed over her then-boyfriend when she celebrated his birthday in March.
“Happy birthday baby boy,” the singer wrote via her Instagram Stories on March 10. “I am so lucky to be yours. You are my dream come true. … I love you so.”
The engagement announcement comes just days before Herbert is expected to suit up and participate in Chargers Training Camp presented by UCLA Health.
Starting Wednesday, July 29, Herbert and his teammates will prepare for a new football season with 14 practices open to the public.
Herbert was drafted with the sixth overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft by the Chargers and has helped the franchise to playoff berths in 2022, 2024 and 2025.
While the duo try to keep their relationship out of the spotlight, Beer recently shared a glimpse into her romance during a June appearance on the “Therapuss with Jake Shane” podcast. During the candid chat, she explained that the athlete came into her life “at the perfect time.”
“When I’m having a convo with my boyfriend, my hair could be on fire, and I wouldn’t notice,” she said. “And to be honest with you, he’s the first person I’ve ever felt that way about. Like, the world could be ending around me, and I wouldn’t realize. It’s just so mature. He came into my life at the perfect time. Our first date was literally at my house because we were scared to go in public.”
In April, Herbert shared a rare photo with Beer via Instagram, writing, “My world!”
