United front? It’s been a turbulent week for the Thompson family of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo fame. Reports that the family’s matriarch, Mama June, is dating registered sex offender Mark McDaniel have surfaced, causing their hit TLC series to get cancelled.
Then Mama June’s eldest daughter Anna Cardwell recorded an interview with Entertainment Tonight, claiming that she was molested by McDaniel when she was 8 years old.
On Wednesday, Oct. 29, Mama June and her formerly estranged husband Sugar Bear stepped out together with their daughter Alana Thompson (aka Honey Boo Boo) to go shopping in Milledgeville, Georgia.
The spouses, who announced their split in September, looked close as Sugar Bear put his hand on Mama June’s back and arm, engaging with his daughter as they entered and exited the store.
This isn’t the first time Sugar Bear has reached out. On Saturday, Oct. 25, he visited the family home in McIntyre, Georgia after the news broke that the family had lost their show.
