Mariah Carey Schools Reporter When Asked About Backup Tracks: Watch!

Ooh girl, what did you just say? Mariah Carey knows that she can still kill it on stage — and so should you. The powerhouse singer gave the best response ever when an Associated Press reporter asked her if she would be getting some extra help during her Las Vegas residency.

Professional as always, Carey quipped back: “I mean, I have so many overlapping parts and background vocalists and background things. There’s always some confusion and something about it, but I mean like, if there’s any confusion they’re welcome to come to my house and sing in the shower with me. It’s not a problem.”

The “We Belong Together” songstress received some harsh criticism in the months leading up to the announcement of her Las Vegas residency MARIAH #1 TO INFINITY, which starts on May 6. The star, who’s had an incredibly successful career spanning two decades — 18 number one singles! — seemed to struggle to hit the high notes she’s famous for.
