The Alex Cooper vs. Alix Earle feud has inspired so much public interest that now Matt Kaplan‘s ex-wife, Claire Holt, is entering the conversation.
Holt, 37, subtly reacted to the drama on Thursday, April 16, when she replied to a TikTok from a Bravo fan account that pointed out she has crossed paths with Earle, 25, on multiple occasions.
As the social media user speculated about Holt being friendly with Earle after her divorce from Cooper’s now-husband, the Vampire Diaries alum replied with a GIF of John Krasinski from The Office trying to hide.
Before Cooper, 31, and Kaplan, 42, tied the knot in 2024, the film producer dated Holt for several years. Kaplan and Holt got married in 2016, but he ultimately filed for divorce a day before their anniversary in 2017. (Holt is now married to Andrew Joblon, with whom she shares three kids.)
Cooper has previously shut down false fan claims that referenced Kaplan’s ex-wife. In April 2025, Instagram gossip account DeuxMoi claimed Cooper “felt weird” about one of her Unwell employees sharing a name with Holt. The rumor alleged that Cooper made the employee go by a different name in the office.
“The craziest rumor I’ve heard about myself recently is that I made an assistant change her name because she had the same name as one of [my husband] Matt’s exes,” Cooper said during an appearance on Harry Jowsey’s “Boyfriend Material” podcast. “Someone s*** it out and believed it.”
She continued: “I didn’t even like bat an eyelash, I’m like, ‘Obviously, that’s not true.’ Then, people are making videos being like, ‘Alex Cooper had this girl change her name.’ … It’s just crazy.”
More recently, Cooper once again had to shut down speculation, but this time it involved fellow influencer Earle.
“I’m really tired of waking up and seeing you using this fake drama to distract from other s*** going online for you. Not interested. I know what happened and so do you,” Cooper said in a video on Monday, April 13. “So talk. Unless the fake narrative that you’re creating happens to be way more interesting than the truth. I have nothing to hide when it comes to you and me.”
Cooper asked that Earle “get specific” about what caused their issues, adding, “Just say what you gotta say about me. There’s no NDA and no one is stopping you. Stop hiding behind other people and just say it yourself. What’s the beef?”
She concluded: “Unless you actually have something to say, I’m out. This is over. Have a good Monday, everyone.”
Earle, meanwhile, hinted at plans to share her side of the story when she replied, “OK on it!!” In a separate video, Earle was filmed watching Cooper’s post before making lighthearted comments about the situation.
The Earle vs. Cooper back-and-forth comes after Earle initially developed a professional partnership with Cooper after signing her “Hot Mess” podcast in September 2023 under Cooper’s Unwell Network. The podcast was ultimately dropped in February 2025 amid rumors of a rift between Cooper and Earle.
“They’ve had a lot of drama between them [since] they decided to collaborate on Unwell,” an insider told Us Weekly at the time. “They clashed over business, and their friendship is over because of it.”
