No treble, and no romance! Meghan Trainor is not dating Nick Jonas’ "manager"(he’s actually his personal assistant) Cory Andersen despite reports, a source tells Us Weekly.
After the duo spent time together during the Jingle Ball tour, and took a cozy kiss-on-the-cheek Instagram together, rumors circulated that the breakout "All About That Bass" singer was linked to Andersen, but, the insider tells Us that it’s just a "joke."
"This is a joke," the source tells Us. "They are not seriously dating."
So what is going on with the two?
"Andersen was on the Jingle Ball tour with Nick, as was Meghan…She was also in the trailer next to his Dancing With the Stars taping, but the only time she was around was when she could just come say 'Hi' to Nick — totally normal like any other artist,” the insider explains. "They’ve met and been cool with each other but that’s all it is right now."
The body-positive singer, 21, hasn’t had the easiest time when it comes to dating. "Girls need to be treated better,” she told Billboard. “I never got that growing up. In high school, I didn't date awesome dudes."
In an interview with Time magazine while discussing her single girl power anthems like “Dear Future Husband,” Trainor added: “I know I didn’t like myself as much as I should have, and I hope people can hear my songs and know I’m a badass girl and I deserve a good guy to take me out on a date.”
A rep for Trainor had no comment.
