He’s got her toes! Just days before Dakota Johnson’s sexy and very grown up Fifty Shades of Grey premiere, mom Melanie Griffith shared an adorable throwback photo of the actress as a child with dad Don Johnson.
“Dakota and her Daddy!!! Love them so much!! 1993,” Griffith, 57, captioned the Instagram pic. “Daddy’s girrrrrrl.”
The ’70s and ’80s hunk, 65, kept Dakota laughing in the sweet father-daughter moment as he pretended to nibble on her foot. Johnson, 25, looked up adoringly at the actor mid-laugh.
Griffith and Johnson divorced in 1976 just six months after tying the knot. After Griffith married and divorced actor Steven Bauer, she remarried the Miami Vice star in 1989, welcoming their little girl that year. They split for good in 1996. Griffith more recently split from Antonio Banderas after 18 years of marriage.
On Wednesday, Griffith also posted a throwback photo with longtime friend Jane Fonda, and revealed that she’s now five years sober. “Today I am most grateful. #soberarchitectofadversity,” she wrote via Instagram. Back in 2011, she recalled entering rehab for 90 days for painkillers.
The Facing the Wind (single!) actress appears to be better than ever these days, and has been vocal about how proud she is of Johnson’s Fifty Shades role. But that doesn’t mean she’ll watch the film! In December, Griffith told a TMZ cameraman that her daughter doesn’t want her to. “It would be inappropriate!” she reasoned.
