Michael Buble’s Son to Undergo Surgery for Liver Cancer: Report

Michael Bublé‘s 3-year-old son, Noah, will have surgery for liver cancer later this month, the Argentinian paper Gente reports, according to The Daily Mail.

Local reports say that Noah is currently undergoing chemotherapy to minimize a tumor. The treatment will reportedly continue for four months.

Last month, Bublé, 41, and his wife, actress Luisana Lopilato, opened up about their son’s diagnosis. The couple, who tied the knot in 2011, are also parents of son Elias, 11 months.

“We are devastated about the recent cancer diagnosis of our oldest son, Noah, who is currently undergoing treatment in the U.S.,” the pair wrote in a statement November 4, via the Canadian singer’s Facebook page. “We have always been very vocal about the importance of family and the love we have for our children.”

“Luisana and I have put our careers on hold in order to devote all our time and attention to helping Noah get well,” the statement continued. “At this difficult time, we ask only for your prayers and respect for our privacy. We have a long journey in front of us and hope that with the support of family, friends and fans around the world, we will win this battle, God willing.”

A source told Us Weekly that Bublé and Lopilato, 29, are “sad but hopeful” about the situation. “They immediately got him very good care, and they are hoping and praying for the best. They are getting him the best doctors around,” the insider told Us. “It’s really heartbreaking. This was a real shock, but they are doing everything they can.”
